Details
The bowl has rounded, conical sides rising to a lipped rim, and is carved in the interior with a large peony blossom borne on a leafy stem reserved on a combed ground, beneath a diaper band with further combed decoration, all under a clear glaze that falls irregularly on the exterior towards the unglazed foot to expose the pale grey stoneware.
