The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

With surface wear and scratches; some rubbing to the enamels and gilt decoration; an approx. 3 in. fine vertical hairline crack extending from the rim and issuing a few further short lines at 10 o'clock; three vertical hairline cracks extending from the rim between 12 and 3 o'clock, the longest approx. 4¹⁄₂ in., with associated overpaint to the interior and touch-ups to the painted decoration to the exterior; a triangular restored section at 4 o'clock; a small X-shaped glaze line to the interior near 5 o'clock; presents well.
