The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Each in generally good order; with minor surface wear and scratches; light wear and rubbing to the enamels and gilt decoration; the gilt decoration probably refreshed in some places; further condition noted below.

The ewer with very minor fritting and losses to the rim; its handle off and restuck; with restoration to the front and side at the lower portion of its body; the ewer leans to one side (in the making), but is stable on its foot.

The basin with very minor fritting and losses to the rim; with restoration to the underside; the exterior of the shell with indentations encircling it, probably where the shell rested in the making, now with some touch-ups to the unglazed indentations; one foot restored.
