The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Each varying slightly in size and in color; each with some surface wear and scratches as to be expected; many with imperfections and firing cracks in the making, some filled; with scattered short glaze lines and fine hairline cracks; several with restorations, including to the joss stick holders; some with the holders broken or lacking; some with losses and/or restoration to the high points, including to the curling tails; some large lions with losses to their teeth; two large lions with scattered areas of restoration, including to the decorative elements on its back, one with overall crazing and now yellowed, the other with staple repairs to his holder; present well as a group.
