The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The smaller examples varying slightly in size; some variations in color overall; each with some surface wear and scratches as to be expected; many with imperfections and firing cracks in the making; several with restorations, including to the joss stick holders; some with the holders broken or lacking; some with losses and/or restoration to the high points, including to the curling tails; three overall with overpaint, likely covering restoration; two with evidence of painted or gilt decoration, largely lost; present well as a group.
