The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

Each with minor surface wear and scratches; some light rubbing to the painted decoration; with some scattered minor bruises; the ewer with fine cracks to the front and overall to the shell-shaped lower portion of its body and pedestal; the basin overall with fine cracks, stable; the surface of the basin and ewer feel tacky with a pin and are likely covered in a clear spray.
