The cover with light wear to the enamel and gilt decoration; his comb with restoration to several points and with two small chips, one with overpaint in a brighter shade of pink; restoration to its beak and with a small glaze chip; its comb and wattle with touch-ups throughout; the interior of the cover with a few firing cracks in the making. Examined under ultraviolet light. The base a later plaster replacement with extensive spray to the interior and exterior.
