The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The canvas has been relined. Scattered surface soiling throughout. A network of craquelure throughout. Minor frame abrasion along the extreme edges. Vertical and horizontal stretcher marks. An abrasion with an associated pinpoint loss to the center right edge. Craquelure fill and some scattered short strokes of inpainting throughout, most notable to the sails and the sky.
