The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Each with minor surface wear and scratches; light rubbing to the enamels; gilt decoration largely lost; the lefthand bird with restoration to its headcomb, a tiny burst glaze bubble at the top of its beak and a frit to its center talon of its proper right claw; the righthand bird with restoration to its headcomb and tip of its beak, some scattered small burst glaze bubbles, a restored crack to its base beginning at the proper front left footrim extending horizontally to the right and terminating on the proper left side of the bird's tail, its tailfeather broken in several pieces and restored, all with associated small areas of fill and touch-ups; present well.
