The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
Overall with minor surface wear and scratches as to be expected; with some rubbing to the enamels and gilt decoration; most plates with the refreshment to the decoration; with scattered rim chips, many filled-in to the reverse rim; the majority otherwise in good condition; one plate with an approx. 21⁄4 in. rim line and an associated very short glaze line; one plate with restoration and overpaint to the reverse rim from 6 o'clock to 11 o'clock; three plates with an approx. 2 in. rim line with associated overpaint, one with an approx. 11⁄2 in. restored crescent-shaped section to the reverse rim; one plate with an approx. 7 in. hairline to the center; one plate with a network of hairline cracks to the center, stable; one with a restored crack extending the diameter of the plate.
