The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Ovoid Ewer:
- appears to be in overall good condition except for some light staining
High-shouldered jar:
- a large chip to foot
- a firing crack through the base
Painted jar:
a stabilized hairline crack extends downward from the mouth and bifurcated at mid section, the longest branch approx. 10 cm.
- a few minor firing flaws or shallow chips and nicks to the mouth rim, a few short firing cracks to where the loop handles join the jar
Bowl:
- appears to be in overall good condition
- a burst bump and a few other negligible firing flaws original to manufacture
- a minor nick to foot possibly due to trimming
