The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Dish:
- various minor firing flaws such as glaze gaps, iron spots, kiln grits and light soil adhesion, all original to manufacture
- some expected surface wear consistent with age
- otherwise in overall good condition
Both vases:
- leans slightly; glaze is somewhat worn, particularly to the mouth, edges and raised decoration, with some light flaking and nicks; some light polishing to foot rim possibly original to manufacture
- one with a repaired break to the lower body which runs through two sides; some kiln grits to edge and foot
