The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
All: -in overall good condition for works of this type and age
- a few expected chips and nicks to the rims, edges and extremities
- some scattered light staining and adhesion, and expected light glaze degradation
One cover: - loss to the end of proper left wing which is not made up; chips to the end of the other wing
The other cover: small shallow chip to beak and to end of one wing
Both jars: - a few short firing cracks, mostly to the applied decorations
- a few chips to foot
