The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Both figures:
- a few chips to the edges of armor and clothing, and a few expected nicks to edges and extremities
one figure:
- a firing crack extends upwards from foot, with associated small losses to glaze
The other figure:
- repaired breaks and overpainting to neck and lower body
One mask: areas of restorations and overpainting, such as horns, one eyebrow, teeth and multiple bosses
The other mask: restoration and overpainting to tip of horns and one tooth
Both masks:
-chips and nicks to edges of clothing and extremities
- expected loss to pigments
