The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
- chips to the dragon-form handle’s ears, glaze flakes and nicks to other edges and extremities on handle and to the mouth, and a few on the body
- Leans slightly
- a restuck chip, a few kiln grits and some minor imperfections due to firing to the body, and the glaze is quite worn
- a chip and a gouge mark to foot and the foot rim has been polished
- there appears to something inside the amphora
