The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture.
Shorter bamboo brushpot:
- expected age cracks
- a few areas might have been reworked/carved
- an old chip to the interior to one opening
Taller bamboo brushpot:
- expected age cracks
- some polishing to the mouth
- a few burn marks and some expected staining
Rootwood scroll pot:
- an area of loss near the base
- expected age cracks, chips and some other small losses
- a few minor insect damages
All: expected wear and some abrasion
