THREE CARVED SOAPSTONE BOTTLES
19TH/EARLY 20TH CENTURY
The first bottle is of rounded, square form, on an oval footrim and carved from the dark brown and greenish-white stone with a panel of a writhing dragon on one side and an archaistic inscription on the reverse. The second is of rounded, rectangular form on an oval footrim. The mottled black and gray-celadon stone bottle is carved with antique vessels. The third is of rectangular form on a conforming footrim, and fashioned from the green and beige stone carved with two grazing horses beneath a tree.
