THREE OVERLAY GLASS BOTTLES
19TH CENTURY
Each bottle is of slender, ovoid form on an oval footrim. The first is carved through the semi-transparent, ruby-red overlay to the bubble-suffused, pale blue ground with a bat amongst peaches and the reverse with blossoming branches. The second is carved through the sapphire-blue overlay to the clear glass with lotus plants. The third is carved through the opaque green overlay to the bubble-suffused ochre ground with groupings of antiques.
