TWO BLACK-OVERLAY GLASS BOTTLES
19TH CENTURY
The first bottle is of flattened, ovoid form on an oval footrim and carved through the black overlay to the transparent glass on each side with five bats and a shou medallion. The second bottle is of flattened, rounded form on an oval footrim and carved through the black overlay to the opaque, milky-white ground with a writhing dragon on one side and on the other with a bat and a feline with a wan symbol on its haunches on rocks.
2 and 2 3/8 in. (5 and 6 cm.) high, jadeite and plastic stoppers (2)
