Condition report
A Christie's specialist may contact you to discuss this lot or to notify you if the condition changes prior to the sale.
The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
We have sought to record changes in the condition of this piece acquired after its initial manufacture. The first has a natural pitted area in the base. There is a short, faint crack in the mouth, which may be inherent. The second has a small chip to one of the leaves near the phoenix neck, a small chip to a leaf near the phoenix tail, and a small chip the edge of the rockwork base. The raised edges of the tray have been polished and a few minute rim nicks.
