The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The ceramic consists of two parts, the body and tail of the warthog, connected with adhesive and a dowel. There are small white deposits in a few scattered crevices. There are minute chips on the toes of the warthog and potentially the tip of the proper left horn. There is scattered cracking in the glazing from the firing process, consistent with the artist's working method.
