Created by Robert Goosens for many of Chanel's jewelry collections, the wheat sheaf motif was popular with Mademoiselle as it represented happiness and prosperity. This motif is still used frequently in the house, even serving as inspiration for their 2016 high jewelry collection and the current example is a rare early example of post war Chanel jewelry.
