The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The columns: The variegated marble with natural inclusions. Each with two repaired breaks in upper half, with associated infill. The gilt decoration lacking evealing red and whit gesso. The capital and base with evidence of old woodworm, now inactive, resulting in loss to the carved decoration.
The bronzes: With some light rubbing, primarily to high spots, and small casting flaws. The marble bases with natural inclusions and very few nicks and 'nibbles' to extreme edges. One base with two well repaired areas and associated infill. The figures slightly loose on bases but stable.
