Martina is an accomplished yarn artist. She loves to create works with yarn and fabric and is always exploring new techniques for her creations. During the first lockdown, she tried her hand at punch needling and fell in love with the texture of the end result and the endless possibilities.

Despite growing up in a landlocked Slovakia, Martina is fascinated by oceans and water. She has used water as the inspiration for her latest creations.

The Thames has defined London for centuries and it is this that Martina has explored in her first work. The shape that the Thames cuts through London is distinctive and this piece delivers an immediate recognition.

Martina’s second piece focuses on the playful and colourful world under the sea and she was able to combine it with her primary method, crochet - look out for the coral pieces.
