Lot Essay

Matthew Lindop has an undeniable passion for architecture, buildings and structure, this is the inspiration for his urban landscapes artworks. Matthew uses household gloss paints to create cityscapes or a computer to form ultra-detailed digital illustrations.
The majority of Matthew’s cityscapes come from London the artist’s home and source of greatest inspiration. Matthew takes to the city’s streets and feeds off the inherent beauty of all its urban structures.
Matthew has undertaken various commissions, clients include British Airways, The National Health Service and British Telecom. The Professional Footballers’ Association and Transport for London have purchased his work. He has exhibited throughout London, Europe and North America.
