The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.

The pile is thick and full throughout with a good lustre. There is a very slight colour run of the red dye into the ivory wool, which is mainly found at one end and on the reverse of the carpet and is minimal. There is one very small hole towards the middle of the field which, due to the thick pile, is only visible on the reverse. The sides are both secure. Both ends have original polychrome striped kilims, one has original knotted fringes and the other has the original bicoloured securing line and both are secure. Overall this carpet is in very good condition.
