Lot Essay
OMEGA introduced the reference 105012 in 1964 and it was the first Speedmaster to have the updated case shape that protected the pushers. This reference was also the first to have the name "Professional" written on the dial. This particular example features a case made by La Centrale Boites indicated by the engraved "CB" on the inside of the case back. This model has the unusual flat twisted lugs which are only found on this reference. This watch also retains its original "Dot Over 90" bezel which is highly sought after by collectors. The Speedmaster remains one of the most iconic chronographs and this is a good opportunity to own one with the legendary caliber 321 movement that went to the moon.
According to the Archives of OMEGA, the present watch was manufactured on August 18, 1967 and delivered to the United States of America.
