Lot Essay
Rolex launched the GMT-Master in 1954 in order to provide pilots a watch that could read 24 hour time for a selected time zone. Following the success of this model, in 1959 Rolex introduced its successor, the reference 1675, which Rolex produced until 1980. The present example features a fully intact expanding riveted oyster bracelet, and red and blue "Pepsi" bezel. The inside of the case back is stamped “IV 64” indicating it is from the fourth quarter of 1964.
