Lot Essay

Founded in 1953, the Patrouille de France is the demonstration squadron of the French air force and is equivalent to the Blue Angels of the U.S. Navy. Breitling marked the 60th anniversary of the founding of the squadron by releasing the watch presently offered. There were only 600 made, and the French pilots of the PAF received numbers 1 through 9. This watch is a fitting nod to the pilot's of the PAF, as well as to the history of Breitling.
