The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case is in very good condition with few light scratches. The back of the 2 o'clock lug has some scratches. The case back has scratches. The maker's engravings to the case back are crisp and clear. The inside of the case back has watchmaker's marks. The days of the week are displayed in German. There is some black material on the inner tachymetre scale between 90 and 100. The dial has marks in all three sub-dials and at 4 o'clock. The hour markers at 5, 6, 7, 8, 10, and 11 have marks around them that appear to be glue marks. The luminous hour markers have darkened with age and the one at 4 o'clock appears to be partially lost. The hands appear to be later replacements and are more green than the darker yellow hour markers. The hour hand has darkened in comparison to the minute hand. The hand in the 12 o'clock sub-register shows signs of wear. The quick-set day and date function are working at the time of cataloguing. The pushers for the chronograph are starting, stopping, and resetting the chronograph hand, but the 6 o'clock sub-register is not keeping track of the time elapsed. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
