Lot Essay
Reference 3603 houses the Beta 21 movement that was revolutionary at the time. It was used by many other brands to power their quartz watches. This watch was a huge step in a different direction for Patek Philippe and remained the largest watch they made until the 21st century. This is an early example of the reference as the 3603 was produced from 1973 to 1982.
Furthermore, this example is extremely rare as it is a white gold example on leather bracelet as confirmed by its archive. To date, there are less than fifteen examples in white gold on leather bracelet that have come to market. Post Lot Text

The case is in good condition with light scratches throughout. The hallmark is visible to the 9 o'clock side of the case. The edges of the back of the case at 6 and 12 o'clock show light signs of wear. The case back is in good condition with light scratches. The inside of the case back has watchmaker's marks. The dial and hands appear to be original. The dial, date aperture window, hour markers, and hands have developed a light patina. Around the dial's hour markers the dial is giving way to the gold color underneath the blue. There is also some darker blue discoloration around the upper outer part of the dial from 8 to 3 o'clock. The dial has what appears to be some cracking at its edge from 4 to 6 o'clock. The buckle has scratches. The movement is not working at the time of cataloguing. A service is required.
