The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case is in good condition with light scratches and few small nicks. The case appears to have been lightly polished. The numbers are visible between both sets of lugs. The lugs at 2 and 5 o'clock have small nicks to them. The back of the lugs show evidence of the bracelet. The hallmark to the back of the lug at 2 o'clock is visible. The case back has scratches throughout and some small nicks. The case back has a small, shallow ding. The inside of the case back has watchmaker's marks. The inside of the case back is stamped "1803." The crystal has scratches. The dial and hands are in good condition. Some of the luminous plots at the hour markers are larger than others and the dial is possibly relumed. The dial has a small dark mark just above the lower text that reads, "Superlative Chronometer." The luminous material in the hands and at the hour markers are both a white color. The bracelet is marked "Made in Japan," and 18k white gold. The bracelet is stamped "623." The bracelet has scratches throughout and stretch. The day and date change as the hands pass midnight. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
