The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case has scratches and small nicks throughout. The gold crown and bezel have developed patina. The back of the lugs show evidence of the bracelet. The case back has scratches. The inside of the case back has watchmaker's marks. The inside of the case back is stamped "6917" and "IV.72" indicating its production in the third quarter of 1972. The dial and hands are in good condition and appear to be original. The luminous plots at the hour markers are all present and have darkened with age. The hands, hour markers, and cornet have developed patina. The luminous material in the hour hand has darkened completely and the minute hand luminous material is partially darkened. The crystal has many scratches. The end links are stamped "268" and the bracelet "4, 72, 6252014." The inside of the bracelet clasp is etched with numbers. The bracelet has scratches throughout and some patina spotting. The bracelet has stretch. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
