The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case is in good condition with few scratches and few small nicks. The 7 o'clock lug has small nicks and the 11 o'clock lug has a scratch. The crown has small nicks. The back of the lugs show signs of wear and the bottom of the 5 o'clock lug has a small nick. The case back has scratches and small nicks throughout. The engraved wording is very faint to the case back. The inside of the case back has watchmaker's marks. The inside of the case back is stamped "7450." The dial and hands show signs of age. The hands have all developed patina and have scratches. There are some scratches to the dial and a piece of loose material on the dial near the "W" in the Waltham signature. The sub-registers are dirtied. The dial and hands appear to be re-lumed. The luminous material on the dial is slightly darker than in the hands. There is some paint loss to the base of the chronograph hand. The chronograph function is working at the time of cataloguing. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
