The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The present lot is offered in very good condition, with consideration to its age. As stated in the extract this watch was manufactured in 1923 and sold on January 7th, 1925. The case back is inscribed “Robert H. Cunningham / New Castle, PA. / 12-25-1924”. The dial is an older refinishing. The Breguet numerals have developed a nice light patina. The case does have scratches and scuffs from wear commensurate with age. The angles are softer from the wear over time and prior polishing. The crown is not original and is made by Universal Geneve. The hallmarks on the sides are not easily visible. However, the inscriptions and numbers on the case back are crisp. The side of the case does display a slight gap between the case and case back. The watch is not running at time of cataloging, service and repair will be required.
