The case shows normal signs of wear throughout and has been polished. The case has bevels. The movement is a caliber 1035, which could have been a service replacement as the reference 6542 did not utilize this caliber. The inside case back is stamped, “IV.55” and “6542” and has watchmaker’s marks. The bezel appears to be aftermarket. The dial and hands are early tritium service replacements. The crystal has scratches. The bracelet is stamped ‘C+I’ and ‘7-67.’ The bracelet is later in good condition with some scratches and no stretch. The movement is tight and in need of a service. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
