The back of the case has a hallmark visible at the 2 o'clock lug. The case back has scratches and few small nicks. The inside of the case back is stamped '1601.' The inside of the case back has watchmaker's marks. The bezel is in good condition with a very small nick between 8 and 9 o'clock. The dial and hands are in good condition and appear to be original. The luminous plots at the hour markers have darkened with age. The plots are missing at 7 and 9 o'clock. The hour markers, coronet, and hands have developed a light patina. The luminous material in the hands has darkened with age. The crystal has a crack near 6 o'clock. The end links are marked '53' and the bracelet '11, 68' indicating its production in 1968. The bracelet has few light scratches and stretch. The clasp has been polished. The date changes as the hands pass midnight. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
