The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The watch shows signs of wear throughout and has been polished. The numbers are visible between the lugs and there is very light pitting to one side of the serial numbers between the 6 o’clock lugs. The inside case back is stamped ‘III.65,’ and has watchmaker’s marks. The dial and hands are in very good condition and appear to be original. The lume has aged in the hands and on the dial to a nice, rich yellow color. The hands have developed patina. The crystal has some scratches. The bracelet is in good condition with signs of wear throughout and appears to have a later clasp that is damaged. To work properly, it requires repair. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
