The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The watch is in good overall condition with wear typical for its age. The numbers between the lugs are each visible with a scratch through them. The tip of the lug at 7 o’clock has a scratch to it. The backs of the lugs have scratches to them. The inside case back is stamped ‘III.1958’ and ‘6494’ and has watchmaker’s marks. The dial is in good condition with some signs of age and some small raised bumps to it. The hands appear to be replacements. The date wheel shows signs of age and is a roulette color scheme. The hour markers have developed patina. The clasp is marked, ‘3, 64.’ The bracelet is later for the watch with some stretch and signs of wear throughout. The clasp does not stay closed and requires repair. The date changes as the hands pass midnight. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
