The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case is sharp and in good condition with normal signs of wear throughout. The lugs at 7 and 11 o’clock have small nicks to them. The case back has some scratches to it. The inside case back has watchmaker’s marks to it. The dial is in good condition with some signs of age and wear and appears to be original. The outermost part of the dial shows signs of age. The dial has developed a light patina throughout and in the 9 o’clock sub-register there is a mark where the hand was for a prolonged period. The hands appear to be original and have developed a patina. The chronograph is working at the time of cataloguing, but it is not keeping track of elapsed minutes. A full service is required to fix this. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
