Lot Essay
The Seamaster was introduced in 1948 and was intended to be an attractive tool watch with optimal versatility. The Seamaster line is still in production and remains a cornerstone of the OMEGA collections. The Seamaster 300's distinguishing features are the sword hands and Bakelite bezel.

The case is in good condition with light scratches. The case and lugs have been lightly polished. The back of the lugs have light scratches. The case back is in good condition and the engraving is visible. There is a hand-engraving to the case back that reads, "E A." The inside of the case back has watchmaker's marks. The bezel has light scratches and a crack between '20' and '30.' The dial is in good condition with a light mark below the base of the hands. The luminous material at the hour markers has darkened to a green-brown color with age. The plot at 4 o'clock has partially lost lume. The luminous material in the hands has aged to a green-brown color. There is a small hole in the minute and hour hand. The chronograph hand appears to be relumed. All hands have developed patina. The end links are marked '633' and the bracelet '1171/633.' The bracelet is a later replacement in good condition with few light scratches. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
