The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case has light scratches throughout and few small nicks. The lug at 5 o'clock has two small nicks to its top and the lug at 11 o'clock has a small nick to its top. The case and lugs have been lightly polished. The numbers are partially visible between the lugs and are not legible. The back of the lugs have scratches and show evidence of the bracelet. The case back has scratches throughout and shows evidence of being opened. The inside of the case back is stamped '1625' and 'II.61' indicating its production in the second quarter of 1961. The inside of the case back has watchmaker's marks. The white gold bezel has few nicks to it and is in overall good condition. The dial and hands are non-luminous. The dial appears to be reprinted and is in good condition with slight yellowing around its outer. The hour markers, coronet, and hands have developed patina. The hands appear to be later replacements. The end links are marked '55' and the bracelet '3, 62' indicating its production in the third quarter of 1962. The bracelet has stretch and has been polished. The date changes as the hands pass midnight. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
