The case is in good condition with light scratches. The case and lugs appear to have been lightly polished. There is pitting between both sets of lugs and the serial number has a scratch through it. Both numbers between the lugs are visible. The back of the lugs have scratches. The case back has scratches and shows signs of being opened. The inside of the case back is stamped '6609' and 'II.56,' indicating its production in the second quarter of 1956. The inside of the case back has watchmaker's marks. The bezel and crown have developed a light patina. The bezel has been lightly polished. The dial appears to be a later replacement. The hands appear to be later replacements as well. The hands, hour markers, and coronet have developed patina. The luminous plots are all intact at the hour markers. The bracelet has scratches, a lot of stretch, and has been polished. The date wheel alternates colors between black and red. The date changes as the hands pass midnight. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
