The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case is in good condition with scratches and small nicks throughout. The case and lugs appear to be lightly polished. The back of the lugs have scratches. The case back has scratches throughout and shows evidence of being opened. The case back has an engraving that reads, "Dave, Love, Candy 28/5/67." The inside of the case back has watchmaker's marks. The bezel has few small nicks near 2, 8, 11 and 12 o'clock. The bezel insert has faded slightly with age and has some intermittent scratches and paint loss. The dial is in good condition and appears to be original. The outer track is lost between 8 and 9 o'clock. The luminous hour plots have darkened with age. The 3 and 9 o'clock sub-register have slightly dirtied with age. The minute and hour hand appear to be relumed. The hands have light scratches and have developed patina. The steel bracelet is marked 'BRU-MER.' The bracelet has scratches and little stretch. The chronograph function is working at the time of cataloguing, but the pushers are sticky. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
