The condition of lots can vary widely and the nature of the lots sold means that they are unlikely to be in a perfect condition. Lots are sold in the condition they are in at the time of sale.
The case is in good condition with light signs of wear and has been lightly polished. The coronet and serial number are visible to the case back, and engraved Japanese name in the center of it. The inside case back is stamped ‘I.1958’ and ‘9083.’ There are also watchmaker’s marks. The dial is in good condition with signs of age and some moisture damage near 3 o’clock and appears to be original. The hands appear to be replacements. The hour markers have developed some patina. The bracelet is in good condition with a later Rolex clasp. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
