Lot Essay

The present watch is part of a special numbered edition made for Zermatt-based retailer Schindler. The dial is a gold plate featuring a high-relief of the world-famous Matterhorn Mount, which dominates Zermatt and is also the logo for Schindler, and bears the watch number (in this case, 8) and the date. The case back is also finished in similar style, but the high-relief represents instead a seated Helvetia – the personification of Switzerland – holding a Sword and leaning on a shield bearing the Swiss cross.

This rare wristwatch is offered in absolutely new-old-stock condition.
