Lot Essay

The present lot comprises of two wonderful examples of 1940s watchmaking. Distinguished by clean, utilitarian lines and high dial legibility, both pieces presents interesting traits. The first is distinguished by its large size and Bauhaus-style numerals, the second by its fully luminous dial (both hands and numerals), a configuration usually reserved to military timepieces.

Both have been recently serviced by IWC and are preserved in very appealing overall condition.
