Consigned by a private collector, the watch is in like new overall condition.

In 1995, Tudor chronographs change their look. The cases, still "by Rolex", are redesigned into a thinner version with smoother lines. The bezel insert is now made of aluminium, the plexiglass is replaced by a sapphire crystal. The models are fitted with the improved version of the Valjoux 7750 automatic movement. Entirely refreshed, its finishing is called "special Tudor", the rotor now engraved and gilded.

Following the firm's 50th anniversary in 1996, all references to Rolex gradually disappear. The model name is changed from "Oysterdate" to "Prince Date", tritium is progressively replaced by luminova. The triplock crown is personalized with the Tudor shield, the case back omits any references to Rolex.
