Lot Essay

A remarkable example of 1940s watchmaking, the present timepiece is offered in outstanding condition. The case showcases excellent proportions and definition, and the dial, devoid of any cosmetic intervention, presents a warm and absolutely even ivory patina. An peculiar trait of this model is the lugs’ design, a crossover between a teardrop and half-moon style which even the Universal Extract defines as "unusual" as a special remark to this watch.
