Lot Essay
The Royal Oak Offshore is a sportier chronograph adaptation of the classic Royal Oak designed by Gerald Genta and introduced in 1972. The Royal Oak Offshore is a robust chronograph with design elements incorporated from the classic Royal Oak, including an octagonal bezel and integrated stainless steel bracelet. Audemars Piguet introduced the Royal Oak Offshore series of chronographs in 1993 to appeal to a younger generation. This example is one of the early ones AP made in the 1990’s.

The case is in good condition with light scratches throughout and few nicks. The case back is in good condition with few scratches. The bezel is in good condition with light scratches throughout and some nicks to the edge. The dial and hands are in excellent condition and appear to be original. The bracelet is in good condition with some scratches. A screw is missing to connect the bracelet to the lug on the upper right. The chronograph and quick-set date function are working at the time of cataloguing. The serial number is E400XX. The movement is in working order at the time of cataloging, consistent with the age of the watch. The movement has not been tested for accuracy. A service is recommended given the age of the watch.
